I worked two days in a row at Sea World this week. I realize that all too often I let the competition of retail get in the way of enjoying what I actually can do with my time, and it becomes a bitter day in the end. All it takes is one person waiting for a mediocre artist while you are standing there, wanting to draw them, when they haven't even seen your work... for frustration to set in.
Working at Sea World is relaxed and professional - an environment that is great for a laid-back artist, however the 'clientel' is composed of almost entirely 2-8 year old girls. So I'm getting better at selling 'cute' - ugh.
Next post here will contain art, I promise.
