Joe, Love your sketches man. And your coloring is like caricature porn. My goodness. Way to be bold on these rejects man, you're a great artist and your integrity to the true art of caricature is inspiring.
But let me clarify: these two are not rejects- they were purchased. The guests in the first one did not like it very much, but they laughed a lot. I am including 'sales' in REJECTS as well... you'll see why when you buy the book and read page 5!
it's realy hard to see guys who rejects your darwing! Not realy? What's why I don't want to make "live" caricatures .. And it's good to make a work with a picture and to show this after.they could reject after but i love to work lonely.. you know that? And 'you should take pics from the guys for us .. like this we could judge better
Good points, Faboun'e. I like to work live, because it forces me to improve faster and get things "right" the first time. It also opens me up for more criticism, so I'll be aware of my flaws and work on them. I'll show more pictures of the people with the drawings when I do more live work.
I also like working alone, from photos, but you don't usually see as much of the person, how they move and what faces they make.
I wish to be a good artist who could drawin under lot of eyes and who never be try 10 times ago to make a good line.. but I'm workin' for... I like your position on that... If you wanna see me : http://fabounedraw.over-blog.com/ but I will be back !!!
Joe I really admire your live stuff, but let me ask, when you push the envelope, what do you say to the people that freak out? I personally like the extreme like yourself and Glenn Freguson, but geez, aren't you worried about getting clobbered?
Joe Love your work... I purchased REJECTS on Amazon and cant wait to get it....What markers etc are you using.. I am trying to get Dixon Markette but they are rediculously impossible to get... Whats are my next best alternatives?
